Lossnay description
The Mitsubishi Electric Lossnay is a new-generation ventilation unit from Japan's Mitsubishi Electric, designed for installation inside suspended ceilings in apartments. Lossnay is Mitsubishi's unique patented technology in which the heat exchanger is made from a special paper fibre that recovers both heat (up to 80%) and moisture (up to 70%).
Lossnay technology — what makes it different?
Conventional plate heat exchangers recover only sensible heat. The Lossnay paper-fibre exchanger also recovers latent heat (moisture) — meaning the unit doesn't dry indoor air in winter and doesn't bring excess humidity in summer. This is especially valuable in harsh Estonian winter conditions, when outdoor air is extremely dry.
Installation and model range
The Lossnay series is available with airflows from 150 to 2000 m³/h, suiting anything from a small apartment to larger offices and commercial buildings. The unit is typically installed inside a suspended ceiling — saving living space and keeping the interior clean. Air ducts connect via the unit's side ports.
Control and reliability
Lossnay is available with various control options — from a simple on/off switch to the PZ-61DR-E panel, which allows the airflow to be set in three steps and the unit to be driven by a CO₂ or humidity sensor. Mitsubishi Electric is renowned for its extreme reliability and long service life.
